Russian girl band duo t.A.T.u is made up of Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova (translates to 'This that') and was formed in 1999. hitting Moscow and then the world with a bang, dancing on stage in their underwear and often waring see-through clothing, wet through so their breasts were clearly visible. They were also infamous for kissing on stage and simulating sexual acts on each other. Their behavious led people to speculate that they were lesbians but in a 2003 documentary it was made clear this was untrue, however in a 2008 interview Katina says the emotions for each other were very real.

It was the release of video for Beliy Plaschik (White Robe) that catapulted the TATU girls to fame across Europe and the world in 2008. There are two version of the video: a censored one that is aired on MTV and the uncensored explicit version that featured on the DVD ibut is banned from the airwaves. It was a sensible commercial choice to release a 'safe' version so their adults version wouldn't be over-edited for day time television. So in the uncut one Lena is walking down streets in very little clothing and strips naked when she gets home giving a great view of her breasts. There is also partial nudity from Lena who is seen showering with a good nipple shot. The biggest addition to the uncensored video is the execution scene where Lena is handcuffed and wearing only underwear in front of a firing squad.
